Triple H returned last on Raw to cost Seth Rollins the championship. When everybody thought that The Game would back up Rollins to make him the new champion, he turned on him by hitting a pedigree. Kevin Owens just had to cover Rollins to become the new champion.
Stephanie and the GM, Mick Foley could not believe what The Game just did to the former Authority member. Owens celebrated amongst the audience chanting “you deserve it” and we guess Raw has turned to the Kevin Owens show from now onwards.
Now, as we expect a lot of fresh angles are coming towards us from next week onwards and the biggest of all is turn Seth Rollins face. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that from now onwards WWE is looking to make the cornerstone of the Raw brand and hence the face turn is needed. He will challenge Owens for the Universal Championship at the next PPV.
Also, he will continue his beef against Triple H, to have a match at Wrestlemania 33 or Survivor Series. This match was originally planned for Wrestlemania 32 but got cancelled since Rollins was out of action due to the knee injury.
It is also mention-worthy that, the championship match originally announced as only a fatal-4-way match but took place in an elimination style. It means the planning for the match was done just days prior to Monday Night Raw.
Te veteran journalist Meltzer though did not like the way Owens was handed with the championship. Since it was a fresh idea the audience liked the move, a lot. Owens got one of the best pop of this PG despite being the heel. So, it’s yet to be seen if WWE starts Rollins face turn happen to start from this week’s Raw or not.
