Wrestlemania is always expected to be a roller-coaster ride like every year. This year keeping the expectations in mind the company has come up with a brand new tagline for the event i.e. “The Ultimate Thrill-Ride”. Now, all the major titles present on both Raw and Smackdown will be up for grabs on the night and we can expect that at least some of them will find a new shoulder.
The same was hinted in a recent report from cagesideseats.com. It said that there will be some major title changes on the night to justify the name of the ‘roller-coaster’ ride. At least three championship changes are set to happen at Wrestlemania, as stated by them.
They have not declared the particular matches in which the changes will happen but if we nurture the card then it’s evident that even more than three matches might crown new champions at the showcase of immortals.
The supposed main event match on April 2nd is almost guaranteed to witness a new champion. Goldberg will take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal championship. With the champion’s contract just set to expire in thirteen days, it is certain that the beast will walk out of the Citrus Bowl as the new champion.
Smackdown women’s championship might also find a new home. It was earlier reported that Alexa Bliss is suffering a backstage heat and she would drop the title due to this.
Naomi would be the surprise addition in this match either this week or next week to make the contest a six-way elimination match. Considering that Wrestlemania will be hosted by the hometown of Naomi i.e. in Orlando, Florida, the possibility is that she will become a two-time champion on the night in front of her family and friends.
Chris Jericho is also set to leave WWE following Mania which means he will lose to Kevin Owens in the US title match by handing him a win. Owens could brag about the fact of defeating Jericho for his title reign.
Apart from these three matches, we can certainly expect another title change in the Intercontinental and the Cruiserweight championship matches, as well.
