WWE spoilers: John Cena slated to win the World Heavyweight Title at Royal Rumble

  • WWE has revealed that John Cena will be the WWE Champion at the end of Royal Rumble where he is set to face Brock Lesner and Seth Rollins.

Ahead of a WWE live event in Allentown, PA on 8 March, the company promoted the event’s tickets sale (which begins later this week) by using these lines:

“WWE® WORLD CHAMPION JOHN CENA SLAMS INTO ALLENTOWN DURING WWE® LIVE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA AT PPL CENTER ON MARCH 8

TICKETS GO ON SALE THIS SATURDAY, JANUARY 17 AT 10 A.M. AT PPLCENTER.COM”

WWE Superstars including Seth Rollins, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Kane are expected to be in attendance for the event which is a part of WWE’s Live Road to WrestleMania XXXI.

When asked a WWE insider, he confirmed this development and also added that it is not necessary for Cena to win at Royal Rumble but can also win the belt at the WWE Fast Lane PPV on February 22.

He said “Although the advertisement doesn’t necessarily mean that Cena will win the triple threat match at the Royal Rumble, as plans can change at any moment, it once again highlights the mistakes made by the WWE in leaking potential storylines. Heading into WrestleMania 31, Cena holding the title will be the best for business as his endless public appearances and media obligations would bring credibility back to the belt and make it feel important once again as the biggest show of the year approaches.

It has been announced that the “Tickets, starting at $15, will go on sale this Saturday, January 17 at 10 a.m. exclusively through PPL Center, online at PPLCenter.com, by phone at 610-347-TIXX or in person at the Mealey’s Furniture Box Office located on 7th & Hamilton St. at PPL Center.”
