Last night’s Smackdown witnessed a dream team of John Cena and AJ Styles performing together for the very first time on live television. They took on the team of Kevin Owens and Rusev in the main event of the show. The babyface team became victorious by putting the heels down to end the Tuesday Night’s show. They were seen celebrating together while the show went off the air.

The franchise was all business, last night, as he appeared on the Talking Smack show, as well. He noted how his career is closing in despite the fact that he can’t think of a life beyond the WWE. So, he focused on the match at the upcoming Battleground PPV where he just can’t lose to prove that his time is not up yet.

Apart from John Cena, The Usos were the other guests on the show hosted by Renee Young. They spoke about their match at Battleground PPV before Sami Zayn joined the show as the next guest. The Canadian Superstar noted on the brewing rivalry with Mike and Maria Kanellis hinting a possible match at the upcoming PPV.

In the dark segment of Smackdown Live, there were a couple of matches stored for the fans in attendance. The San Antonio crowd got to witness a PPV match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Baron Corbin. After what transpired on the main show between these two superstars, they locked horns inside the ring.

Corbin delivered an ambush to the Artist on Smackdown. So, the latter one got his revenge on The Lone Wolf in the dark match. After a decent contest, Nakamura connected with the Kinshasa to his opponent to emerge victoriously. Corbin met a fan after the match to stop him from crying breaking kayfabe.

This was not the only dark match from last night’s show. Prior to the show, the American Alpha returned as a tag team. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan teamed up with Sin Cara to take on the team of The Ascension and Aiden English. The babyface team picked up the win to set the tone for this edition of Smackdown Live.
