India’s last hope P Kashyap lost to Chen of Chinese Taipei of the quarter-finals in straight sets of Japan Open Super Series just a few moments ago. It was a disappointing performance by P Kashyap who made a lot of mistakes in the whole game.

In the first game, Kashyap got the first point but Chen asked for a review as umpire decision was in and the decision stood as in. Chen then got 2 successive points. Chen then 3-2 continued to take a 5-3 lead. Then Kashyap came back and got 2 successive points to equal the score at 5-5. Both players got alternate points till 8-8. At the interval, Chen led 11-9. After the interval, Chen got 3 successive points to take a 14-9 lead. From 15-11 Chen 3 successive points to take an 18-11 lead. Chen took the first game with ease 21-14.

In the second game, both players started taking 1 point each. Kashyap then took a 4-3 lead before Chen took 5 successive points to take an 8-4 lead. Kashyap took 1 point, but Chen took 3 successive points. At the interval, Chen led 11-5. After the interval, both players took alternate points to 15-9 in favor of Chen. Chen then took a commanding lead of 20-14, but Kashyap took 4 successive points to reduce the gap to 18-20. Chen attacked with a smash and won the second game 21-18.

With this loss Indian hopes are over in Japan Open Super Series 2015.
