After making himself unavailable for the ODI and T20I format of the game against Windies, the ex-skipper of the Indian National Cricket Team MS Dhoni has made a request to the Indian Army to allow him to train alongside the Batallion for 2 months Parachute Regiment.
Although Dhoni will not be a part of any active army operations, a part of his training will happen in Jammu & Kashmir. His battalion has its headquarters in Bengaluru but is currently posted in Kashmir. According to reports, Dhoni will live like any other soldier in their quarters while undergoing intense training.

The wicketkeeper-batsman would now train with the Parachute Regiment. It is a part of which is expected to take place in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said. The Army, however, will not allow Dhoni, who holds an honorary post of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army, to be part of any active operation, sources mentioned.
Recently, MS Dhoni had a decent World Cup 2019 campaign. He scored 273 runs in nine matches at an average of 45.50. And despite his run tally having two fifties, with both coming at a very slow strike rate, Dhoni’s intent was questioned by the fans and veterans of the game.
