ICC World Cup 2019: Clive Lloyd Picks His Favourites For The Championship
It is obvious that the prediction scenarios will take the boost whenever a major event takes place in the game of cricket. With ICC World Cup 2019 around the corner, the experts picked their favourites for the upcoming grand event. Meanwhile, the latest to join the bandwagon is the former Windies Skipper Clive Lloyd.
The tournament begins from May 30 and will be played in England and Wales. While India will be looking for their third title – after success in 1983 and 2011. England is hoping to pick up their first silverware. Meanwhile, Windies will be entering to win the cup after 40 years of time.

Speaking of the same, the former Windies skipper Clive Lloyd, who helped Windies team to win the title Twice during 1975 and 1979 quoted that the England team is making a wave to be favourites but he feels that Windies Cricket team has got the potential to make things fall in place.
‘There is a strong wave in the UK that England will do well this time. No doubt they had done well in recent years. They are a well-balanced side. England will be a very tough competitor this time,” Lloyd said to Times of India.
“I am also hopeful my West Indies will do well this time in England. The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has brought back the main players who have been doing well in different tournaments around the world. They will try their best,” he added.
The England and Wales Cricket Board got a settled squad in the ODI format with all the departments being covered with the eligible players. The home conditions will also put them as one of the favourites to win the tournament.
Besides England team, India National cricket team, South Africa and New Zealand also got the great chances to bag the trophy. In fact, the teams like Pakistan and Windies can also surprise any opposition on their day to seal the trophy.
The defending champions, who aren’t at their best in the recent past will also look solid for the grand event when David Warner and Steven Smith walks back into the side. All in all, it is going to be an interesting grand event.
