Ind vs NZ 3rd Test, Day 1: Twitter reactions

Riding on Virat Kohli’s brilliant 211 and Ajinkya Rahane’s 188, India took the driver’s seat by the end of the second day of the final Test against New Zealand at Indore.

India’s hopes of whitewashing the Kiwis were looking in danger after the hosts were reduced to 100 for 3 but then Kohli and Rahane sent the New Zealand bowlers on a leather hunt as they added a huge 365 run for the fourth wicket. Kohli scored his second double-century in Tests and surpassed his previous highest score of 200 that he scored against West Indies. He also became the first Indian captain to score two double centuries in Tests. Ajinkya Rahane too registered his highest individual score. India finally ended their innings when they declared for 557 for 5.

In reply, the visitors ended the day on 28  for 0, still, 529 runs behind India’s first innings total. Martin Guptill remained unbeaten on 17 while Tom Latham remained unbeaten on 6.

But just like the millions out there i did not put in the hard work needed to achieve my dream and now i have become a fan instead of the player. Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan.
