IPL 2019: Match 37, DC vs KXIP – Watch – Chris Gayle Clobbers Sandeep Lamichhane for a Massive Six
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) opener Chris Gayle scored a stunning half-century to guide his team post 163 runs against Delhi Capitals at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.
Meanwhile, Delhi won the toss and opted to bowl first with both teams making a handful of changes from their last game. Kings XI Punjab didn’t have a good start losing thier in-form batsman KL Rahul in the second over. However, it didn’t matter to Gayle as he went bonkers against the Delhi bowlers. Just when things looked bright for the visiting team, they lost Mayank Agarwal to reel at 42 for two. David Miller, who has been out of form also followed the pack soon to make things worse for the Kings XI Punjab.
But these things didn’t matter to Chris Gayle as he went with his swashbuckling hitting. He soon completed his half-century in the process while trying to bail his side out of danger. During his blistering knock, the Jamaican big-hitter slammed young Sandeep Lamichhane for a massive six.
Lamichhane flighted the delivery just outside off as Gayle bends his back knee and slog sweeps it high into the night sky. The balls went miles and miles and had no intention to stop. Chris Gayle timed the ball beautifully which shows the kind of form he is in currently.

However, Sandeep Lamichhane had the last laugh getting better in Chris Gayle in the very same over. Since then some useful contributions from the lower-order batsmen helped them post 163 runs on the board. Mandeep Singh chipped in with 30 runs while Ravichandran Ashwin and Harpreet Brar made significant contribution to give their bowlers enough runs to bowl at.
