IPL 2020: “Loyalty Above Everything”- Virat Kohli Shares Glimpse Of His RCB Journey

The 13th edition of IPL is set to begin in the UAE from September 19 and RCB skipper Virat Kohli is reminiscing the time with his side. He captioned the post with “Loyalty above everything”. The Team India captain has stayed in the Royal Challengers Bangalore side since the IPL has begun.

Virat Kohli shared a video showing his past interviews as Royal Challengers Bangalore captain as well as some behind-the-scenes clips of the team. In 177 matches for the Bengaluru-based franchise, Virat Kohli has scored 5412 runs, including five centuries. The IPL 2020 will begin from September 19 till November 10, a total 53-day campaign will see all the 8 teams play in UAE. The tournament was originally scheduled to kick off from March 29 was postponed indefinitely after April 15 due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the nation.

The IPL 2020 has an ‘in principle’ approval from the Government of India to the BCCI to host it in the UAE. BCCI had earlier this week sent the teams a 16 page long SOP (Scheduled Operation Procedures) to follow before and during the tournament.

Virat Kohli Had Captioned The Video As “Loyalty Above Everything”

The RCB skipper has been eagerly waiting for the IPL to begin. Having been in the lockdown without playing must have grown his eagerness to play. He had earlier this week also posted pictures with his RCB teammates. Virat Kohli had  captioned it with a clock and an hourglass emoji.

 

His latest post on Instagram is was captioned as  “Loyalty above everything. Can’t wait for what’s to come,”. The video posted on his account had parts of his interviews as RCB skipper, as well as clips from the team’s training and behind-the-scenes activities like ad shoots and outings. He has been loyal to his side through thick and thin in their 13-year journey in the IPL. RCB have never won the IPL, however, they have reached the final thrice, under three different captains but the IPL title has never got in their hands.

IPL to begin from September 19 in the UAE

BCCI had earlier this week sent the teams a 16 page long SOP (Scheduled Operation Procedures) to follow before and during the tournament. The teams have already started quarantining players and initiating Coronavirus testing protocols to comply with the rules.
