IPL 2017: Manoj Tiwary Suffers Personal Tragedy, Forced To Retun To His Hometown
Just days after cricket fans offered support to the grieving Delhi Daredevils striker Rishabh Pant, another tragic news has come to light after it was learned that Manoj Tiwary has lost his father on Tuesday morning.
The news was revealed by stand-in Rising Pune Supergiant’s skipper Ajinkya Rahane during the toss time ahead of the 9th IPL contest, which also involves Delhi Daredevils. The 31-year-old batsmen made himself unavailable for the match due to this reason, giving local lad Rahul Tripathi a chance to make his debut.
It was only about a week ago when rising teenage sensation Rishabh Pant lost his father. The 19-year-old, who was with his Delhi Daredevils team at the time of the incident, rushed to his hometown to meet his family and perform the last rites.
Later on, the left-hander turned up for the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore and earned huge praise for hitting a wonderful half century batting on the face of such a personal tragedy.
