Jurgen Klopp undecided on youth player’s short-term future

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is unsure whether to send young prodigy Sheyi Ojo out on loan this season.

The 19-year old has impressed Klopp when he came off the bench against AC Milan in their pre-season friendly in Inter Champions Cup. The youngster has assisted Roberto Firmino for the second goal with his blistering pace on the flank.

Ojo who was loaned out to Wolves last season has made the breakthrough into Liverpool during the latter stages of last season.

“I don’t know. We will have to see,” Klopp said.

“Sheyi is a wonderful player that’s for sure and his future is 100% at Liverpool. We don’t have to make decisions so early.

“We have time and we have to use the time. We have had some injuries. We need to make the boys as fit as possible.

“Ojo has only been with us for five days after coming from the tournament with England Under-19s.”

Ojo has turned down his holiday after England were eliminated at Semi-final stage in Under 19 European championships in Germany to make himself available for Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the United States only four days after England’s exit.

The youngster was signed by Liverpool when he was 14 from MK Dons for a reported sum of £2 million back in 2011 and is tipped to become one of the most exciting footballers in the nation.
