Juventus are not planning to sign Sead Kolasinac in this January window, opening the door for Chelsea to swoop in, according to Sky Sports journalist Kavekh Solhekol.
Kolasinac’s contract at Schalke is set to expire this summer meaning he is available for a cut-price this month.
The Bosnia international was reportedly in negotiations with Juventus over a potential transfer but Chelsea have made an eleventh hour bid to scupper the deal.
Schalke will not want to risk losing the 23-year-old on a free in the summer.
Juventus reportedly tabled a £4.2million offer for Kolasinac this month but Sky Sports reporter Solhekol has now claimed the Serie A side have pulled out of the running to sign the full-back.
He said: “Juventus say they won’t buy anyone before tomorrow’s deadline, leaving way clear for Chelsea to sign Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac.”

Chelsea are on the lookout for a more defensive cover with Branislav Ivanovic set to leave for Zenit St Petersberg.
Kolasinac has made 20 appearances for club and country this season, scoring two goals.
Chelsea are also rumoured to be eyeing the exciting defender. The Blues only signed current first choice left wing-back Marcos Alonso last summer, but there has been recent speculation that Antonio Conte hasn’t been entirely convinced by his performances.
This has also seen Chelsea linked with a move for Cologne left-back Jonas Hector to fill that position, and it is now claimed that Kolasinac is a target as well.
Conte is a known perfectionist and Sky Italia claim he could try to beat clubs to Kolasinac this January as he sets his sights on continuing his side’s march towards the Premier League title.
