Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho will stay at Liverpool for the upcoming season confirms his agent.
There has been speculations about the French international leaving Anfield. The 26-year old was sent home from their preseason tour in the United States by manager Jurgen Klopp.
The incident happened as Klopp admitted that the player is lacking discipline as he often breaks rules. There has been reports that Sakho had a fallout with Klopp and Italian giants Roma were interested in signing the young defender on a season long loan deal with an option to buy at the end the of loan spell.
However, Sakho’s agent Niakate Housseini said: “I’ve not had any contact with Roma. He’s a Liverpool player and I don’t think Roma have any chance [of signing him] at the moment.”
He also denied a move rumours about Sakho having an argument with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 26-year old has featured 33 times for the Reds last season before getting into a drug controversy during the latter stages of the season.
