India’s MC Markom has continued her good run in the 2014 Asian Games as she became the first Indian boxer to qualify for the Finals by defeating Vietnam’s Thi Pang Le in the semi finals. This win also assures India atleast a Silver in the women’s Flyweight (48-51 Kg) category. The five time World Champion and the Olympic Bronze Medalist MC Marykom showed her young Vietnamese opponent what experiance can bring to a boxer as she kept on attacking and won the three rounds quite easily.

The left and right combination worked well for the 31-year-old MC Mary Kom as she defetaed Le Thi Bang from Vietnam 3-1.

Mary Kom won the first three games with the perfect score of 30-27 in each of the three rounds. She loosened herself in the fourth round and changed her tactics as she simply kept on defending and wasted the time so that her opponent cant puch her out in the final round. This will be the first final for MC Marykom since giving birth to her third son “Prince” last year. She won a Bronze medal in the same category during the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.

MC Marykom, in all likelihood will look to clinch the Gold in the Finals against Kazakhstan’s Zhaina Shekerbekova that takes place tomorrow. We, from Sportzwiki, wish India’s most celebrated Boxer MC Marykom to win a Gold Medal when she plays in her Final Bout in 24 hours time.
