Patna Pirates – Bengal Warriors match ends in a thrilling tie
Patna Pirates and Bengal Warriors match ended in a thrilling tie of Pro Kabaddi League season 2 atPatna just few moments ago. The final score was 20-20.
It was an exciting match especially the second half as both teams competed for each point and the last point was earned by Patna Pirates by tackling Kun Lee of Bengal Warriors.
The first point of the match to Patna Amit Hooda. Patna Pirates got another as Bengal Warriors raider Jung was captured. After 5 minutes both teams were equal at 2-2. After that Dinesh of Bengal Warriors was captured. In the 12th minute both teams were equal at 6-6. Ravi Dalal and Deepak Narwal for Patna and Vineet Sharma and Lee For Kolkata were earning raid points.
Initially Patna was trailing a bit, but equaled at 5 all and then each team was earning points alternately to reach 9 all in 15th minute. At this juncture a Review was unsuccessful giving Kolkata a lead of 11-9 in the 19th minute. Rajput’s tackle failed and Kolkata earned 12th point at half time. Davalkar substitute earned a point in his first raid. Bengal Warriors led 12-9.
After break Surrender earned a touch point. Bengal Warrior earned 2 points in next raid as Sunil went out of line and also a bonus taking lead to 14-12 in favor of Bengal Warrior. Ravi Dalal earned a bonus point. Ravi Dalal was tackled to 15th point. In next raid Rajput was tackled to give 14th point. Amit Hooda had an empty raid.
Lee had an escape from Amit Hooda and another player to earn 2 points. Ravi Dalal earned a touch point followed by Deepak Narwal’s raid and Surender capture took Patna to 18-17 in 35th minute. Kun Lee earned a point as Amit’s hold did not succeed to take the score to 18-18 four minutes before final whistle. Do or die raid Ravi Dalal was captured.
Next Sunil was tackled and took the score to 19-19. Both teams had empty raids. Sandeep Narwal tackled and captured. Lee in final raid was also captured taking score to 20-20 again. This turned out a first ever tie both teams earning 3 points each. Patna earned touch 7 touch and 10 tackle points as against 8 and 7 of BW Kolkata.
At the end of Patna leg U Mumba is at 1st place, followed by Bengaluru Bulls, 3rd place is occupied by Telegu Titans and 4th place goes to Patna Pirates. The next stop moves to Hyderabad.
