WWE confirmed that Becky Lynch could not participate in the Survivor Series PPV event due to an injury. They booked her in a mega-match on the show against Ronda Rousey. But an invasion angle on Monday Night Raw scrapped this dream match. Later Becky Lynch herself declared Charlotte Flair as her replacement announcing another dream match.
As per the reports of Fightful.com, Becky Lynch was dealing with a broken nose alongside multiple concussions. Nia Jax nailed a stiff punch on her handing a scary face that WWE mentioned as a ‘broken face’. Blood spilled all over her body starting from the face. There’s no way that WWE medical personnel was going to clear her to compete at Survivor Series.
Thus, we lost a solid main event dream match to become reality. The guilty Nia Jax is digesting major negative heat from the fans all over the social media. Her previous botches also fuelling up the logic that she is an unsafe worker. Even the Smackdown crew members are reportedly not happy with the misconduct by Nia Jax.
But Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch can have an alternative date, as per the recent rumors. WWE is using the heat between them on social media to set up this match in near future. Going by the recent reports, there are big chances to see this bout two months from now. Royal Rumble PPV event is going to be the place to see finally see this match becoming a reality.
According to the reliable source WrestleVotes, WWE officials are planning to arrange this match at Royal Rumble. This is the first PPV of 2019 that kicks off the Road to Wrestlemania 35. Hosting such an interesting match could raise the hypes to the biggest extent and perhaps an even buzzing rematch at the biggest event of the year.
Here’s the update from the source,
“If the Rousey v Lynch match doesn’t happen (slim chance at this point), I’d look for it to take place at the Royal Rumble. The champions can’t compete in the women’s Rumble match anyways so it would work out. We’ll see.”
As you can see the match is under speculation, as of now with finalization yet to be made.
Also, we need to remember that both Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch should remain the champions till Royal Rumble. Only then they would earn the opportunity to sit out of the women’s Royal Rumble match so that officials can book them in a singles contest. This year, the WWE Raw and Smackdown women’s champions sat at ringside to witness the inaugural winner of the match.
