WWE has been offering fresh as well as edgier contents as of late so to please the fans. This week’s main event of Monday Night Raw ended up being a make-out session between Bobby Lashley and Lana in front of Rusev that’s a rarity in today’s PG era. But these kinds of segments fetch attention like nothing else, so to speak. One more such controversial angle may kick off soon featuring Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
These two play the role of best friends ever since entering the main roster in 2017 who’s been strong a tag team. Mandy Rose is a gorgeous on-screen female persona where Sonya Deville is a proud member of the LGBTQ community. This is why there have been rumors that WWE may start a lesbian angle between these two at some point. We have also seen a few teases of such a future storyline over on Smackdown.
It appears that WWE might be thinking seriously about pulling the trigger on the rumored lesbian angle. As seen on the latest footage from WWE Total Divas season nine, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were chasing the producers for the same. They have had a meeting with the top officials to receive the green signal on a controversial angle that could garner attention, just like that. We have heard them saying on a promo for Total Divas,
“Mandy and I are meeting with producers to pitch the first-ever LGBTQ storyline in the WWE.”

Sonya Deville is a part of the Total Divas cast and WWE’s first openly lesbian superstar which itself is a stand-out. The company is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ campaign, as well. So who knows whether they will soon launch a program on TV on the same issue. Previously, Mandy Rose talked about her relation with Sonya Deville in an interview and talked she’ll have no problem if WWE involve her in such an angle,
“I don’t have many insights to offer on that. I think there’s definitely rumors and stuff like that. But it’s also hard to say because my character is pretty sexual and pretty sassy, the way I am. So anything I do, it doesn’t matter if it’s to Sonya or to anyone else. It’s just who my character is, so it’s hard to judge. But I guess you’re just going to have to stay tuned, right? You never know.”
“And obviously, if there was ever to be a type of relationship with us, I’m super supportive and WWE is super supportive of inclusion and the LGBTQ community, so I think it would be awesome.” (in an interview with uproxx.com)
