Kurt Angle said goodbye to in-ring competition on April 7th, 2019. He competed in his final match at WrestleMania 35 against Baron Corbin to come up short. But that does not take away the accolades that he earned throughout the pro-wrestling career. Also, we should gladly note that the veteran superstar is still under contract with WWE in some capacity through which he may continue making appearances.

The only Olympic Gold Medalist to step foot into the WWE has reportedly signed a new deal with the company during Wrestlemania 35 season. His early deal came to an end during that span and rumors had it that he renewed it for multiple years. Recently, Kurt Angle confirmed the extension of his WWE deal in an interview with wrestlingINC.com,

“I signed a five-year deal with WWE. I’m going to do some part-time – if they need me in front of the TV, maybe managerial, where I would be managing some wrestlers.”

As you can see the pro-wrestling will be staying in the WWE for five more years. So he will not be a rare name from either Monday Night Raw or Smackdown Live, so to speak. Fans can expect to witness him back on TV on a permanent or sporadic basis appearance in the future. Speaking of this, Kurt Angle also opened up about the main role he will be having in the WWE, right now,

“But the most important thing is I’m going to be a producer. I’m going to help the wrestlers with their technique. I’m going to help them structure their matches. It’s something I’m very good at. I thought I’d be able to contributor the company [in that role].”

WWE always keeps some of the veteran names around the locker room to influence the youngsters and improve their wrestling abilities. Now, who better to teach them than Kurt Angle himself. Many call him as the greatest technical wrestler ever who also has an amateur wrestling background. He should be a great coach for the aspirants in WWE Performance Center.

With that being said, Kurt Angle is not over with his WWE stint at all. But we can expect to see him on WWE programming, frequently. Who knows if WWE brings him back on the general manager post on Monday Night Raw or even on Smackdown Live just due to his star power. We would not mind seeing a first ballad Hall of Famer and a six-time world champion who is a global mainstream fan following.
