WWE News: Will Brock Lesnar Wrestle At WWE Super Showdown?
We are just a few days away from WWE’s half-yearly event in Saudi Arabia. Goldberg vs. The Undertaker is the headliner of the shoe named WWE Super ShowDown while Triple H will also be in action against Randy Orton in a rematch from Wrestlemania 25. Brock Lesnar is also present on the match card of the show that’s mandatory attendance. However, there are doubts about whether he’d be competing, there or not.
We have reported earlier that Brock Lesnar was all set to compete in a Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at Super ShowDown. He was about to declare his Money in the Bank cash-in opponent on this past Monday Night Raw. As per Wrestling Observer, the beast was about to name none but the Architect about his opponent and thereby set the rematch from Wrestlemania 35.
However, that would have not made any sense as Brock Lesnar as the surprise element of Money in the Bank cash-in won’t be there. Furthermore, the rumors of a Universal title rematch were already out on the internet that would make things predictable. Hence, the creative team changed the plan at the very last moment that came to effect on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Brad Shepard recently reported on the Oh, You Didn’t Know wrestling podcast that the original plan was for Seth Rollins to defend against Brock Lesnar at Super ShowDown. But they instead hosted a fatal-4-way number one contender’s match instead and handed Baron Corbin a title match at the PPV event. Some of the officials were in shock to see Corbin replacing Lesnar as they have no clue of what’s happening on WWE’s flagship show.
Brock Lesnar ended his night keeping the mystery alive around Money in the Bank and thereby denying to reveal who he’d cash-in. But that led to a situation where the biggest box-off attraction of WWE does not have a match at Super ShowDown. So will he be sitting out of the show?
As per the source, the Super ShowDown advertisements still features Brock Lesnar, no matter what. The beast incarnate will be flying to the middle-east country since the Saudi Arabia sports authority paid him a lot of money to travel over to Jeddah. But he may not wrestle on that night sine WWE failed to book him in a match.
