WWE Raw Preview (11/03/19): Triple H-Batista-IC Title Match-Wrestlemania 35 Hype Begins
WWE will start building up Wrestlemania 35 storyline starting from tonight. Fastlane PPV is now in the history books which came up with some incredible lineups. The night ended on an emotional note where The Shield took a final bow to the WWE Universe. Going forward, we will get to know what will be next in their future as WWE Raw airs, tonight. We expect to learn about Wrestlemania plans around them.
The headliner of this week’s WWE Raw will feature a confrontation between two old friends. Batista will be back on the show to have a face-to-face showdown against Triple H. There will be a fallout after Becky Lynch has joined Wrestlemania title match following Fastlane. Also, the Intercontinental title will be on the line As Finn Balor defends it, tonight. All of these will be in-store when WWE’s flagship show airs from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
As confirmed on last week’s WWE Raw, Batista will make his return to confront Triple H. It will be after almost five years that The Animal will step his foot on the red brand of the WWE setting up a potential Wrestlemania match. We expect a heated verbal encounter to break out between these two which can go physical. Only after this, we might get a confirmation of a match between Triple H and Batista at Wrestlemania 35.
Becky Lynch has now officially made the WWE Raw women’s championship match a triple threat. Following her win via DQ at Fastlane, she confirmed her ticket to Wrestlemania. We expect to see a brawl to break out on tonight’s show as she goes for redemption against Ronda Rousey. The champion has blasted her with a couple of attacks in recent times. So it might be time for her to get some payback.
The Shield brothers took care of the business of three heel superstars at Fastlane 2019. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see what WWE creative team plans for them. As for Seth Rollins, he will be busy preparing for Brock Lesnar in a Wrestlemania title match. As for the other two, there are still some chances to see these two going against each other at the biggest event of the year.
Sasha Banks and Bayley did defend their tag team championships successfully at Fastlane. But the challengers came up with beatdown following the title match. They also attacked a Hall of Famer which indicates a Wrestlemania title match involving all of them, (courtesy WWE.com)
“To make matters worse, the destructive pair also took out WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix before also laying out Natalya when The Queen of Harts came to the aid of her former partner. Will the titleholders be out for retribution or move on to their next big challenge? Will Phoenix and Natalya be back for more? Can anyone stop the scourge of Nia & Tamina on The Road to WrestleMania?”
Bobby Lashley is getting an Intercontinental Championship rematch on this week’s WWE Raw. Last week, the trio of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin dominated him after picking up the win in a six-man tag team match. This might the reason that The McMahons have given the Almighty another chance to pick up the mid-card title. However, we don’t see the title changing hands tonight as Balor will continue his run heading towards Wrestlemania 35.
