WWE Survivor Series 2018 Result: Raw Wins Women’s Traditional Tag Team Elimination Match
Traditional tag team elimination matches are must-see for Survivor Series. We see members of the Smackdown female division going up against the WWE Raw women’s locker room. The flagship show announced their team first as the buildup for the PPV started. They named Alexa Bliss as the team captain who selected the entire team, being the leader.
The former WWE Raw women’s could not compete herself in this match due to an undisclosed injury. The five members for this team were Natalya, Mickie James, Nia Jax, Tamina, and Ruby Riott. It was a pretty formidable team with multi-time champions involved in the squad. Surprisingly though, Alexa Bliss chose Sasha Banks and Bayley on the kick-off show to perform at Survivor Series. They replaced Ruby Riott and Natalya who could co-exist as team players.

Smackdown team was incomplete until the match actually happened at Survivor Series. There was no such team leader on this side making it already a weak team sans a fifth member. The first four names were Asuka, Naomi, Carmella, and Sonya Deville. Mandy Rose became the fifth member of the team which was not strong enough to give tough competition to the opponent side.
This match kicked off the main show of Survivor Series. Tamina and Naomi started the match. After some back and forth going, all the superstars standing at the ringside from WWE Raw and Smackdown get into a brawl. Naomi caught Tamina with a springboard roundhouse. But Tamina eliminated Naomi with a Superkick. Carmella came from behind and rolled Tamina up to make things 4-on-4.
Carmella called in for a dance break until Nia Jax entered the Survivor Series match. Mandy Rose tackled the big woman with a straight Running Knee as Mickie James got the tag. Sonya Deville received the tag from Mandy Rose to hit Mickie with a spear. Mandy eliminated Mickie via pinfall. Bayley entered the match to eliminate Carmella with a Bayley-to-belly. Smackdown went into deep trouble as Sasha Banks tapped out Mandy Rose via the Bank Statement.
Sonya Deville and Bayley started a heated fight within the match that went outside the ring. The referee counted out both these women out of the match. Asuka and Sasha Banks squared off inside the ring. Asuka was the only one remaining from Smackdown. She ducked a Bank Statement and threw Sasha with a German Suplex.
Sasha came back into the match with a tilt-a-whirl followed by some kicks. She went for a top rope move when Nia Jax shoved her off the ropes into the Asuka Lock! Sasha tapped out to the move. Nia delivered the leg-drop on Asuka to pin her and give the win to Team Raw at Survivor Series.
