Cricket might be treated as religion in the Indian subcontinent but when it stands nowhere near football when it comes to popularity all over the world, a sport that is played by over 250 million players in over 200 countries. Several  cricketers have also expressed their passion for the game.
Let us have a look on some of the famous cricketers and their favourite football clubs:

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a Manchester United fan, and that too a proud one.
Being a goalkeeper in his early days, his love for football is not surprising.The captain of the Indian cricket team is an avid football fan. Not only that, he is also the brand ambassador for the Premier League for their telecast on Star Sports and co-owner of Chennaiyin FC which
truely shows his interest in the game.
“I am an avid EPL fan and I just played out a real situation in front of the camera,” said Dhoni.
“If I am not busy with cricket, I am always busy with EPL during week-ends. Football is extremely
exciting and very close to my heart. I was a goalkeeper during my school days. Even today, I play football as
a warm up game ahead of key cricket matches.”
