Former WWE Champion Big E who is also a former two times Intercontinental Champion and a former eight times WWE Tag Team Champion recently revealed that he has no issues with Ridge Holland who accidentally injured his neck before WrestleMania 38.

Big E won the WWE Championship back in September. He was scheduled to receive his main event push earlier this year according to reports, which also suggests that he was scheduled to win the Royal Rumble match and challenge for a World title at WrestleMania 37.

But for some reason, the push has been canceled. It was not canceled though, it was just postponed. In July, his main event push officially started when he won the Money in the Bank ladder match at the Money in the Bank pay per view event. He carried the briefcase for two months and he had been presented as a very strong force during this time. He was hardly beaten by anyone during this phase of his career.

In September, he moved to Monday Night RAW and cashed in his Money in the Bank on the previous WWE Champion Bobby Lashley after the Almighty was challenged by the Viper Randy Orton for the WWE title. E cashed in his contract after Lashley successfully defeated Orton.

E cashed in his contract to win his first and only WWE Championship. He had been a pretty dominate champion. He defeated Bobby Lashley in back to back matches. These Championship matches were booked to show his dominance. He retained the championship for nearly four months before finally dropping it to Brock Lesnar. It was a fatal 5 way match in the Day 1 pay per view event.

Everybody was expecting and amazing title run from Big E. But something remained missing. He could never be the champion that everyone thought he would be. It is a little difficult to understand what remained missing.

But one thing that most fans and critics could agree on is his gimmick that never made him a serious deal. A comical gimmick is never a World Championship material. It is quite unfortunate that way did not understand this simple fact.

Nobody took him seriously as a champion and the fans mostly focused on the other rivalries that were going on during the time he was champion. If WWE wants to make him champion again, they have to change his gimmick before that. Otherwise he could never be a worthy champion. At the Day 1 pay per view event he dropped the title to Brock Lesnar.

After losing the WWE title, he switched to Smackdown and teamed up with the New Day once again. Before WrestleMania 38, the New Day was having a feud with the Brawling Brutes which was potentially leading to a six man tag team match at the Grandest Stage of them all. But Big E picked up a vicious neck injury just before the event and he is still out of action.

Big E who is also a former two times Intercontinental Champion and a former eight times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke to The MMA Hour where he revealed that he has no issues with Ridge Holland who accidentally injured his neck before WrestleMania 38. He said;

“We’re good, man. Things happen. It’s a part of what we sign up for. It’s not something I ever would have wanted, but it happened. Me hating him or holding a grudge doesn’t help me at all. He’s been very apologetic, so we’re good man. I hold no ill will against him at all.

I generally think he’s a good human being. I truly do. I’ve enjoyed our interaction prior, and I wish him well. I don’t want this to be the albatross around his neck, whether I have to retire early or not. I can hug my loved ones. I can live my life. My life is good. So, there’s no ill will whatsoever.”
