Dean Ambrose main evented on Smackdown with Kevin Owens

A battered Dean Ambrose kicked off Smackdown this week. The Lunatic Fringe not only took the beatings from Lesnar last week but also has received a brutal assault from the Game courtesy his impromptu plans for a championship match. He was discussing sudden plot changes in the WWE title match if he manages to dethrone Triple H in the upcoming WWE Network Roadblock special. But, he soon got interrupted by Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens. KO further tried to leave hurt Ambrose in a shattered position with a sneak attack but that got countered with a chair shot from Ambrose.

Sheamus & Rusev of The League of Nations vs.. The Usos

WWE in recent weeks witnessed the domination of the League of nations and they continued with their winning streak. Sheamus and Rusev once again picked up a victory, showing their relevance in the tag division. Sheamus connected with the Brogue Kick on Jimmy for the win. The Dudleys then came down and beat The Usos up some more.

Dolph Ziggler vs. the Miz

Miz has gained the pinfall over Ziggler in just 1minute and 5 seconds. On Smackdown, The Miz had once again squared off with the Show-off to see if he could defeat him once again and, this time, beating the time from RAW. Instead, Ziggler one-upped the self-professed A-lister, catching The Awesome One with a backslide to score a victory in only 49 seconds.

Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (number 1 contenders match)

Two of the NXT “four horsewomen” members collided in a fierce rematch after both got double pinned on RAW. When the action spread to the ringside floor, The Boss and the Irish Lass Kicker hit each other with a double clothesline that sent them both crashing to the floor. As they both were downed outside the ring. Charlotte attacked both of them to cause a double disqualification.

AJ Styles vs. Kofi Kingston

The newly formed ally of Y2AJ will challenge the New Day for the tag team championship on RAW. They kept their momentum going by picking up a victory in the hometown of Xavier Woods. After the referee sent both Big E and Woods back to the locker room, it became a one-on-one contest. The Phenomenal One got the opportunity to hit the Styles Smash on Kingston from off the top rope for the victory.

Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens

Ambrose was still in pain as he is yet to overcome the onslaught attack from Lesnar and Triple H. But, as always that’s the style of Ambrose. So he was all ready to get into the main event against Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens. He did not give in and had an answer for almost everything that KO threw to him. Last moments of the match saw Ambrose countering the senton with knees and pull out the Dirty Deeds for the three-count.
