WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

At WrestleMania 31, the WWE Universe will find out who truly is the biggest dog in the yard when Roman Reigns challenges WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

The 2014 Superstar of the Year earned the title opportunity in January by outlasting 29 other competitors to win the Royal Rumble Match. When The Authority tried inserting a roadblock on Reigns’ Road to WrestleMania, forcing him to defend his position against the winner of a match between Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins, he overcame that challenge, too, eventually downing The “Yes!” Man in a grueling No. 1 Contender’s Match at WWE Fastlane.

The nearly 300-pound Beast Incarnate — the only athlete in history to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title, the NCAA heavyweight wrestling title and the UFC Heavyweight Title, not to mention the same Conqueror who broke The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak — has carved a warpath nearly every time he has appeared in the ring, whether in a sanctioned match or not. From dismantling John Cena at SummerSlam, to F-5’ing Big Show and Kane with ease on Raw, Lesnar has established himself as WWE’s most intimidating juggernaut.

Pegged by many as a future main eventer the second he stepped in the ring, Reigns — a second-generation Superstar and member of the famed Anoa’i wrestling dynasty, which also produced former World Champions The Rock and Yokozuna — had an equally remarkable run-up to WrestleMania 31. In 2014, he broke the record for the most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble Match, and though an injury took him out of action for several months, he picked up right where he left off upon returning late in the year, Spearing and Superman Punching his way through certified monsters like Big Show.

What will happen at The Showcase of the Immortals on March 29 when The Beast Incarnate and The Big Dog square off with WWE’s top prize on the line? Will Lesnar maintain his fierce grip on the WWE World Heavyweight Title? Or will the ever-popular Reigns Superman Punch Lesnar off the throne?

Sting vs. Triple H

After years of speculation, The Vigilante, Sting, will finally compete inside a WWE ring at WrestleMania 31, where he will face the very cornerstone of WWE, Triple H.

The enigmatic Sting has been a thorn in the WWE COO’s side since making his unannounced debut at Survivor Series in November, thwarting The Authority’s power plays on day one. The onetime Franchise of WCW caused The Authority to temporarily lose control of WWE, then helped John Cena win back the jobs of popular Superstars Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan on Raw in January. Seemingly drawn out of the shadows, Sting has taken it as his duty to combat Triple H & Stephanie McMahon’s brand of corruption.

During a face-to-face showdown at WWE Fastlane, the fate of these warriors’ rivalry was made clear. After Sting used his baseball bat to cut off an attempted sledgehammer attack by Triple H, Sting pointed to the WrestleMania 31 sign in a symbolic challenge.

WrestleMania 31’s historic clash pits two of sports-entertainment’s most decorated and influential competitors against each other. The Game is a 13-time World Champion, a former Royal Rumble Match winner and a King of the Ring victor, in addition to his current role on WWE’s executive team. His opponent, known in some circle as simply The Icon, captured the WCW World Championship six times, in addition to countless other accolades, and was famously the leader of WCW in the organization’s years-long war against the New World Order.

Since WCW’s closing in 2001, fans have long wondered if and when Sting would finally compete in WWE. At WrestleMania 31, that next chapter in Sting’s fabled story will be written.

Will The Vigilante, in his very first WWE match, restore balance to WWE when he locks horns with Triple H at The Showcase of the Immortals? Or will the ever-sly and ruthless Cerebral Assassin stop this threat to his power dead in its tracks?

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

As the chase for the Intercontinental Championship hits a fever pitch, WrestleMania 31’s blockbuster Ladder Match for the prestigious title has added a seventh — and most decorated — entrant, in the form of former three-time WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.

The popular “Yes!” Man joins a highly competitive field of Stardust, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, Dean Ambrose, R-Truth and defending champion Bad News Barrett. The first Superstar to scale a ladder and capture the Intercontinental Championship, which will be hanging high above the ring inside Levi’s® Stadium, will be declared the victor on March 29.

The huge matchup — which highlights the calamity in the Intercontinental Championship scene — brings into conflict seven of WWE’s hungriest and most intense Superstars.

It also adds to Barrett’s recent woes: Ever since Dean Ambrose absconded with his championship gold at WWE Fastlane, The Bare-Knuckled Brawler has been unable to maintain possession of the title for long, despite being the Intercontinental Champion of record. The controversy around his title has also seemingly contributed to his recent lackluster record in non-title competition against his WrestleMania challengers.

However, as Barrett’s attention has been diverted, the contenders to his title have increasingly become at odds. With no alliances obvious and every Superstar aiming for the same objective — winning the Intercontinental Championship — what kind of out-of-control action is in store for WrestleMania? Add in weaponized ladders and this Show of Shows title bout is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling and chaotic matches in WrestleMania history.

Will order finally be restored to the Intercontinental Championship scene at The Showcase of the Immortals? Will the Superstar who leaves Levi’s® Stadium with the time-honored title be the defending champion, a former titleholder or a competitor who has never before captured the title?

The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has been calling out The Undertaker for weeks, promising that he will take The Deadman’s soul on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The New Face of Fear will get his wish, as The Phenom has accepted his challenge for Sunday, March 29 in what may be, perhaps, the most frightening showdown in WrestleMania history.

For the better part of a month, Wyatt had been broadcasting mystic missives, leaving the WWE Universe to wonder to whom (or what) he was speaking. At WWE Fastlane, Wyatt made his message a little clearer. Using The Undertaker’s iconic imagery for his own twisted purposes, Wyatt had druids drag him to the ring in a casket, from which he emerged with a devilish smile to issue the challenge. Claiming The Undertaker had become mortal since his Streak came to an end at last year’s Show of Shows, Wyatt said he was no longer afraid of The Phenom, and that it was his mission to send The Deadman “home.”

However, The Undertaker had not been seen or heard from since Brock Lesnar pinned him in one of the most shocking moments in sports-entertainment history, leaving many to wonder if Wyatt’s challenge would go unanswered. The New Face of Fear continued to raise the stakes, setting a casket on fire during Monday Night Raw in hopes of drawing The Deadman out, only to receive radio silence in return. Wyatt stunned the WWE Universe when he revealed that he had come into possession of The Undertaker’s urn, threatening to unleash its mystic power on the WWE Universe.

On the March 9 edition of Raw, Wyatt opened the urn, maniacally laughing as he revealed that it was empty. Yet before Wyatt’s dark sermon could continue, thunder and lightning boomed through the arena as The Undertaker finally made his presence felt.

Declaring that Wyatt will rest in peace, The Phenom accepted Wyatt’s challenge and sent a bolt of lightning from the heavens, striking Wyatt’s prized rocking chair and setting it ablaze. Wyatt’s reaction was unusual, to say the least. There was no fear, trepidation or even anger from Wyatt; only tears of joy streaming down The New Face of Fear.

United States Champion Rusev vs. John Cena

Watch a war between worlds at WrestleMania 31, as United States Champion Rusev defends his title against challenger John Cena.

The first meeting between these two warriors took place in February at WWE Fastlane, where The Super Athlete, with the aid of Lana and a low blow, retained his U.S. Championship after Cena passed out in the Accolade.
