  1. Sachin Tendulkar-   First name in the list is the Sachin Tendulkar and it is obvious that he is the first name that it would come. The little master is the best player in the world and always comes first in the list. He is prolific batsmen and always been there for India performing, be it in home soil or overseas.   2. Rahul Dravid-   Second name in the list is the wall of Cricket, Rahul Dravid. Rahul Dravid is the best number three batsmen that world has ever seen. He was the most reliable batsmen for India, playing useful knocks for India in English soil. Dravid scored 1376 runs with an average of 68.80. He scored four half centuries and six centuries. He is the second best player, playing great knocks in English soil.
  3. Sunil Gavaskar- Third name in the list is Sunil Gavaskar, former Indian cricketer who is considered as one of the best opening batsmen in cricket history. He was one of the greatest players of the world and also played part in winning games for India in English soil. He scored 1152 runs in test cricket in English soil with an average of 41.14. He scored eight half centuries and two centuries in English soil. He is the third best in this list.
  4. Graham Gooch- Fourth name in the list is Graham Gooch, was one of the best batsmen of his generation. He was a great batsman and also captained England. He was the best player for England in the home soil. He scored 1134 runs with an average of 66.70. He scored four half century and four century in English soil. He comes fourth in this list.
  5. Dilip Vengsarkar-The last name in the list is Dilip Vengsarkar, He was akey player for India along with Gavaskar. He played some useful knocks and also played well in English soil. He scored 960 runs with an average of 48.00. He scored four half centuries and four centuries in English Soil. So Vengsarkar comes last in this list.
