Manish Pandey was selected for the Twenty20 international to be played against West Indies at Cuttack only. But the withdrawal of the West Indies from the tour had clipped him of a likely chance to make an impression at the top. Manish Pandey missed the Duleep trophy final and banged a not out 135 runs for India A against Sri Lanka on Thursday. Sanjay added that this innings will give Pandey a lot of self-confidence. He said that they got together only for the two days that they had there. But Manish has been batting quite well and consistently. His state side that is Karnataka won lot of championships like the Irani, the Duleep Trophy, the Ranji trophy, most of the championships that they played in. He acted a crucial part in that. He had a marvelous IPL also. He won the IPL final of 2014 for Kolkata Knight Riders. He has been in huge touch, team India assistant coach and in-charge of this India A team said in the after match press conference after India A’s 88 run win over Sri Lanka.

Bangar said that the Brabourne pitch which helps the bowlers early on, Manish will draw lot of contentment of playing this innings. Bangar also said he is always on the edge. This innings will give him a lot of confidence because he came after they were set in to bat and we always expect the ICC wicket to do a bit in the first hour and a half. So, from that angle of view, it must have been very enjoyable for Manish Pandey.
