Premier League outfit Arsenal were not off to a bad start to their new Premier League season taking points off their first  games of the season.

However, the manager who was in desperate search of a striker was hit by an injury crisis to his centre back position and had to look into the transfer market for further additions to the squad.

The club was linked to a number of strikers and also a number of center backs ahead of the move this summer but the manager finally completed the signature of a couple of players for both the positions.

German international Shkodran Mustafi and in-form La Liga forward Lucas Perez were the two back to back signings at the Emirates on the last week of the transfer window as they managed to add some quality to the squad to help themselves compete with the best this summer.

And today, the Gunners have revealed the kit numbers for both the players.

The German international who is set to make a debut in the first game after the international break cost Arsenal £35m this summer and was handed the number 20 in the squad.

This number was just vacated by Mathie Flamini who left the squad this summer.

The year old was superb for club and country in the past couple of seasons and is one of the most exciting talent to move to the Premier League this summer and the Gunners will hope that he can cement a place in the starting XI even after the likes of Mertesacker and Gabriel are back in action.

The second signing, Lucas Perez, was in the form of the his life last season in the La Liga and is expected to fight with Olivier Giroud for a place in the starting XI.

Perez, who might actually be given a chance straight away after the international break was handed the number 9 for his adventure in England.

This number was vacant from the time Lucas Podolski left the club and the fans will hope that Perez is a bigger hit than the German was in his time at the club.
