Chelsea’s interest in Alexandre Pato is thought to be in the very advance stage after Blues squad being convinced of seeing the Brazilian ace move to Stamford Bridge this month.
Pato’s move to Chelsea has been further intensified after Diego Costa’s reported injury which has left Guus Hiddink think about signing an extra attacker. According to Mundo Deportivo, Falcao will not be back before 2 months and Loic Remy is not getting enough chances.
That is why Pato is lined up as the next best alternative in the January transfer window at £10million or less. The reason why Pato is certain to join the Blues after Corinthians want to sell the striker after Pato spent last season at Sao Paulo (Corinthiens’ biggest rivals).
Chelsea play Arsenal next and according to London Evening Standard, few of Hiddink’s coaching staff are convinced of striker joining the club before the game. If that being the case, we can expect Pato to be in the lineup for the game against Arsenal.
Pato has been looking to revive his career in last 12 months and a move back to European Footbal would help him win a place back in the national set up as well. Priced at £10millon, if Hiddink manages to bring out the player we all know Pato is, then it will be a bargain deal for Chelsea.
