Manchester United were one of the most inconsistent sides in the Premier League in the previous season as they failed to finish in the top4 of the points table.

They did manage to step into the Champions League through the Europa League title win and are now looking to make sure that they are well equipped for the challenges that lie ahead of them next season.

Manager Jose Mourinho is desperately looking for some talented stars to add to his squad but he will also be aware of clubs who are scouting players in his first team.

One such player whose position at Old Trafford is still not settled is David de Gea.

De Gea ready for move

The Spanish international is easily one of the best shot stoppers in the world of football at the moment and has been in impeccable form at Old Trafford in the last few years.

He is a long term transfer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid, who wanted to sign him in 2015 but missed by a whisker.

They are now back with concrete interests to sign the goal keeper from Manchester United and it is understood that De Gea may well be on his way before the start of the next season.

Reports earlier suggested that Mourinho might have won this race and may have successfully evaded interests from the Spanish giants for his number 1.

However, it is now understood that Zinedine Zidane is convinced that De Gea is the right man for the job at the Bernabeu and is ready to do what it takes to land him this summer.

And the same report claims that De Gea is also interested in moving back to his home country and Jose Mourinho is not ready to let him leave on the cheap.

Mourinho wants German midfielder in return

Real Madrid are ready to pay up to £50m for De Gea’s services, which is far less than United’s valuation but Mourinho is reportedly ready to agree to this deal, but on one condition.

Manchester United will reportedly hold out for German midfielder Toni Kroos as a part of the deal for David de Gea if Real want to land the 27-year old this summer.

The Red Devils have a problem in their midfield with a genuine CDM lacking in their squad.

Kroos could be a more than decent solution to this problem but should United sell De Gea for Kroos?
