Lukaku ready for new adventure

Romelu Lukaku’s agent has revealed that the highly-rated Everton striker is getting ready for a move this summer to one of the Europe’s best clubs and this latest revelation certainly reignites Manchester United’s interests.

The Everton striker has been enjoying an explosive form throughout this season, netting 25 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Roberto Martinez’s struggling squad, including both in the 2-0 FA Cup quarter final win over his former team Chelsea.

Over the past few weeks Lukaku has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich while his father suggested that a surprise return to Chelsea was also on the cards. But in a bid to fend away these bidders, the Goodison Park outfit has put up a huge transfer fee on the Belgian.

Arsene Wenger also expressed his admiration for the lethal forward, who he scouted when the 22-year-old was playing for Anderlecht and Lukaku to some extent reciprocated back in October when he claimed he would be interested to play for the Arsenal manager.

The Everton striker is most likely to be the subject of a high profile bidding war during the summer window and his agent Mino Raiola did nothing to dissuade any interested parties.

“He’ll keep getting stronger,” agent Mino Raiola told DH, as quoted by talkSPORT.

“Everything depends on his work and on luck. He’s already ready to play in Europe’s best teams.

“I’m not surprised by his performances. He has a heart of gold, which is very important in football, and has a lot of talent.”

Lukaku also did very little to rule out rumours of a potential departure whilst on international duty, saying that he only hoped any exit from Everton would be cordial.

“Champions League football is really the next step [for me],” he said.

“If something happens, it will be for the good of the club. I don’t want to leave in a fight, if it happens. I won’t say this or that. It is going to be good for me personally and for the club.”

The Belgian striker has also confirmed recently he would be very much interested to work under Jose Mourinho again, with both having been heavily linked with Manchester United.

It certainly frustrate Chelsea as their expected incoming manager Antonio Conte who is planning an overhaul of the squad at Chelsea this summer has his eyes set on Everton starlet Lukaku for a potential transfer this summer.

The Belgian attacker worked with Mourinho for a brief spell during his time at Chelsea, with the Portuguese manager started him just twice before selling him to Everton for £28million.

Interestingly Mourinho has often publicly criticised Lukaku’s work rate, on the contrary the striker has gone on to strike 77 goals in just 170 Premier League appearances.
