Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale is currently facing an injury crisis this season after being ruled out for the remainder of the season due to calf injury.

The Welshman had a fair share of injuries since moving to Real Madrid in 2013 and have failed to get to the levels that the club hierarchy expected him to get to. He has suffered 11 injuries since his move to Santiago Bernabeu in a world record transfer four years ago which has seriously hampered his career with the Spanish giants.

However, Spanish doctor Dr Avelino Parajon has suggested Real Madrid have made an error signing Bale in October 2013 as he amazingly illustrated the injury that the pacey winger will suffer in the coming days.

Speaking to Marca, he said: “If Real Madrid have signed Gareth Bale knowing about this protrusion, they have committed an error.

“That is not to say that tomorrow it can be operated on and he can continue playing, like has happened many times.

“But if he already has problems with protruding discs, that indicates that it is not a one-off.

“When a person has those problems at that age, it suggests that he has a great possibility of suffering herniated discs and symptoms arising from that over time.

“It is a bad sign for any athlete.”

The Welsh winger is currently having a nightmare with his injuries this season as he has already missed 27 games for Real Madrid. He has managed to make a comeback against Bayern Munich in Champions League quarterfinals from a calf injury.

However, Bale has once again suffered another calf injury in El Clasico as he was subbed off just 39 minutes into the game at Santiago Bernabeu last month. However, Los Blancos are still hopeful that he could be fit in time for their game against Juventus in Champions League final on June 3.

Gareth Bale is still one of the best forwards in the world but the injuries have taken a massive toll on his body. He was restricted to just 26 appearances for Real Madrid as he managed only 1924 minutes this season.

He has been linked with a move back to Premier League in the summer as Manchester United are keen to make him their marquee signing in yet another record deal.

However, it remains to be seen whether Bale will be keen to get back to Premier League leaving the European Champions this summer. The main objective for Bale is to get fit and get back to his prime form before considering his career options.
