ICC World Cup 2019: Rain Delays Start Of India-Kiwis Clash, Twitterati Slams ICC’s Poor Scheduling
Who would have expected that the matches in the grand event like ICC World Cup 2019 will went in vain without any action on the field? Once again, the rain delayed the start of the game between India and New Zealand. In fact, it is on the verge of being called off as well.
This isn’t the first game in the tournament, as the other matches have already affected with the rain. It already started to make an impact on a few teams’ progress in the tournament as well. Meanwhile, it irked the fans to the next level, who slammed the International Cricket Council for their poor scheduling of matches.
Rain affects World Cup game again:
Usually, the cricket fanatics and experts used to check the condition of the pitches and the compositions of the teams for a high-profile clash. However, of late, the weather forecast is becoming the primary aspect, as the games in England always depends on the availability of the rain.
India takes on Kane Williamson-led New Zealand in an important game at Trent Bridge on Thursday. Both New Zealand and India are unbeaten so far in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. India will present New Zealand their stiffest challenge in the World Cup so far and it should be a cracker of a game.
The practice session was washed on Tuesday but the teams could manage to train for an hour on Wednesday after which the rain returned. And, as expected, it delayed things at Nottingham on Thursday as well.
India is on a roll after their victories over South Africa and Australia. New Zealand has so far defeated Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Neither team, therefore, would be keen to share points. 3 matches have already been washed out due to rain and teams would want to get as many points as they can muster in the first half of the tournament.

ICC Needs To Re-think About Having Tournaments In The UK, Especially In The Month Of June. Its Understandable That There Is Ashes After The World Cup But Ashes Is Not Important Than The World Cup. The Weather Has Spoiled All The Fun Of World Cup.#CWC19 @ICC #TeamIndia #INDvNZ
