Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain Virat Kohli holds that, at least for him, captaining India is tougher than captaining the RCB side.
Kohli says that the foreign recruits bring a lot of new wealth to the side, experience that he can use in his captaincy.
“Captaincy is an easier job in IPL, I believe. You see we have (AB) de Villiers, Chris Gayle who have captained their respective national teams,”, Kohli says. “So they know what needs to be done and to add to that they bring in such wealth of experience. So it makes my job a lot easier, and leading such a side becomes easier.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore have been unable to lay their hands on a trophy so far, despite getting to the semi finals twice and finals once.
On being asked about the team’s title hopes this year, Kohli is optimistic: “Every year, the aim is to go as far as we can and to lift the trophy and added that the finals are too long away and he doesn’t want to think about it now.
Royal Challengers Bangalore face defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday in the Eden Gardens.
