India v Bangladesh controversies

In the following, we look at top 4 controversies in before India v Bangladesh clash:

The no-ball controversy: This was probably the first controversy that was the main reason behind increasing instances of a fight between India and Bangladesh fans. In an all important world cup quarter-final match Rohit Sharma who scored 137 was declared not out on a full toss delivery. The on-field umpire referred the decision to the third umpire who after having a close look at the replays several times declared the batsmen not out. Rohit rescued Indian team from a tough situation and helped Indian team to post a huge total on the board. The Indian bowlers successfully defended the total and Indian team qualified for the semi-final. This decision sparked a controversy as the BCB president resigned from his post in ICC and also the P.M. of Bangladesh intervened in the matter and gave air to the controversy.

Poster war: In June 2015, Indian team toured Bangladesh to play 3 matches ODI series. All the fans expected that Indian team will win the series quite comfortably but Bangladeshi team created a history by defeating Indian team in two matches and winning the series by 2-0. After the series, the Bangladeshi players came up with nasty posters of Indian players which sparked controversy. In the image, it was shown that their fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is standing with a shaver and all players are standing under him with half-shaved heads. This image was criticised by Indian fans. That was not all over as Bangladeshi fans also attacked the Super fan from India Sudhir Kumar Gautham after the match. He somehow managed to escape and saved himself.

Poster of M.S. Dhoni: Just before the big final of Asia cup, the Bangladeshi fans came up with another disgusting poster in which Taskin Ahmed was shown with a chopped head of M.S. Dhoni in his hand. Dhoni gave a perfect reply on the field as he smashed the bowler for a huge six and Indian team won the Asia cup too. This was the best revenge taken by Dhoni as after the match poor Bangladeshi fans could not control their emotions and fans were seen crying in stands as their team again failed to win the Asia cup.

Controversial Jadeja’s image- Now their fans have come up with another image featuring Mustafizur Rahman who is setting up fire at Jadeja back which surely means that they think that Mustafizur will be the star of the show today. But surely these types of image generate anger in Indian players and they will give a perfect reply on the field today.
