Barcelona, Jan 27 (IANS) European football champions Barcelona announced that Turkish midfielder Arda Turan will not play against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday night in the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals due to fever, while fellow midfielders Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta were called up although they have a cold.

Turan has not trained recently, while Busquets and Iniesta were absent from a training session in the past two days, reports Efe.

Barcelona will also miss goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, forward Sandro Ramirez and defender Douglas.

Barcelona won the first leg against Bilbao 2-1 last week.

Barcelona’s squad announced for Wednesday’s game: Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (goalkeeper), Jordi Masip, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Dani Alves, Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Javier Mascherano, Marc Bartra, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Adriano Correia, Aleix Vidal, Thomas Vermaelen and Jérémy Mathieu.
