The most trending news coming out of the Premier League has been the future of Manchester United and its manager Louis van Gaal. Manchester United sit at the 5th place heading into Christmas and the fans and the owners are not happy with their performances recently.

They have lost back to back matches against two newly promoted clubs and are looking more and more disinterested in reaching their previous heights. The 62-year old manager is one of the best the sport has seen by his time may be up with all the recent results.

It is reported that Ed Woodward the vice-chairman of Manchester United attended a meeting at the Head Quarters of the club in London. The VC, earlier this day left the future of the Dutchman hanging in balance. Woodward went into the meeting at 1 pm. It lasted till mid-afternoon but no official word has been made by the club so far.

 

Manchester United have not been expressive about their plans regarding Louis van Gaal since the defeat against Norwich City. The experienced manager brushed off all criticism at the start of the season and hoped that the group of stars the he has accumulated will do the job for him.

But the pre and post match press conference for the Norwich match showed a Louis van Gaal who is under tremendous pressure. He has admitted in the post match conference that he club and the fans are fast losing their patience and have lost faith in him.

It is also reported that Jose Mourinho is being lined-up as a possible replacement for him at Old Trafford. This shows that LVG’s job is hanging on the line and this week’s trip to the Britannia Stadium will be crucial for his future.
