Manchester United have been given fresh hopes of holding on to their star Goal Keeper David De Gea, at least until 2016. Reports from Marca claim that, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are in danger of being imposed a transfer ban for next two transfer windows.

The transfer ban will be in effect due to the both Madrid clubs allegedly making illegal signing of underage players. The ban would be similar to what Barcelona are facing currently for signing10 underage players to their La Masia academy.

Marca are confident that after much deliberations, FIFA is has found the both Madrid clubs guilty of continuously breaking the rules regarding signing of underage players and both the clubs will immediately banned from all transfer activity for the next two transfer windows.

This means that David De Gea’s much talked about move to Real Madrid will be put on hold this summer due to Real Madrid’s transfer ban to be imposed by FIFA. Manchester United must be happy with the news as they can hold on to their star Goal Keeper for at least one season.

Manchester United would want to make the most of this opportunity to convince De Gea of the future success which the Spaniard could achieve with the club and snub a move to the Spanish Capital altogether.

The news of the transfer ban comes at a very ironic moment for Real Madrid as they look set to hand a debut tonight to their promising 16-year-old signing Martin Odegaard.
