Huge line-ups await this Thursday on WWE Smackdown

  • WWE’s blue Brand aka 2nd flagship show Smackdown returns to USA Network this Thursday and to set it up in a great way huge line-ups are already been announced. Two title matches and John Cena’s return on Thursday’s show are the major attractions for the show whereas the commentary team is also newly designed. WWE is making everything possible to mark this auspicious occasion.

“WWE is proud to have SmackDown join Raw as part of our expanded partnership with USA Network,” said WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. “The combination of the No. 1 cable network and two rating juggernauts provides a destination for our viewers and an extraordinary platform for our partners.”

On Monday Night after picking up a roll up a victory against her best friend Charlotte, Becky Lynch got a shocking beat down courtesy the dirtiest father-daughter combo in WWE today which allowed her to get a championship match in the USA returning show. It will be interesting to see how Becky responds and challenges for the Divas Title.

The rivalry got extremely personal between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose following the assaults that the prizefighter delivered to the Lunatic Fringe and is all set to put his title on the line once again on Smackdown which is going to be a brawl for sure.

Joining to the announce team is that former NJPW announcer Mauro Ranallo, calling the action with Byron Saxton, Jerry Lawler and Booker T. Also returning John Cena will definitely bring something to the table.

Here are the must-mentioned line-ups for the show:

    •        John Cena appears
    •        Mauro Ranallo debuts on the announce team
    •        Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE Intercontinental Title
    •        Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte for the WWE Divas Title

With more than 800 original episodes, SmackDown is the second longest-running weekly episodic program in U.S. television history and is consistently one of the highest-rated weekly series on cable over the past 15 years – only behind Monday Night Raw.
