ICC World Cup 2019: Jasprit Bumrah and Co restrict New Zealand To Low Score, Twitter Reacts
Yet again, it was a dominant performance from the Indian National Cricket Team. The bowling attack of the Indians has delivered the goods against the Kiwis attack in order to see their batsmen chase a moderate total on the board rather than anything over 300 runs.
Getting into the details of the game, initially, it was Kane Williamson, who won the toss, elected to bat first. Both Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been sensational for the team, as they kept on troubling the Kiwis batsman.
Martin Guptill once again failed. Jasprit Bumrah, who bowled a few unplayable deliveries got the edge of Martin Guptill’s willow, which went with a full force to Virat Kohli at second slip. The reaction of Kohli after grabbing the ball tells you the story.
Meanwhile, Nicholls has got no answers to Ravindra Jadeja. However, it was once again Kane Williamson, who stood in the middle to settle things in the middle. He was accompanied by Ross Taylor, who also batted decent enough in the middle.
During the course, the duo failed to have a look at the scorecard, as the run rate was pretty low. Just when they started to explode in the middle, Yuzvendra Chahal, with his mystery got the better off Kane Williamson.
However, Ross Taylor holds one end in the middle to put pressure on the Indian bowling attack. Jimmy Neesham also failed to show his skill at the end but Colin de Grandhomme got quick runs for the team to boost the total in the slog overs, but it was just for 10 balls, as Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed him with a slower delivery.
Despite the struggles of the top order, they managed to post

Like @SGanguly99, I admit I am surprised by the dropping of Shami. He takes wickets upfront and if you do, the death overs aren't as critical. India batting very deep with Jadeja at 8 but it is a big call to leave out Kuldeep against a team he has done well.

Very interesting to see how Kane Williamson holds his bottom hand , relaxed palm holding the bat in 2 fingers and thumb. Allows him to play the ball late , great technique, something young cricketers should watch and learn ! Fyi come on India 👊🏽 @Jaspritbumrah93 treat to watch
