Here are the Player Ratings for this match:
Keylor Navas (3): Was only tested thrice in front of goal and he was up to the task with an assured performance.
Defence Danilo (3): Looked solid in defense as he rarely gave PSG any space down the flanks. Could have provided a bit more width in attack.
Sergio Ramos (3.5): Coming into the game with a shoulder problem, Ramos was impressive with his strength as he led the back four with command.
Raphael Varane (3.5): Started that game in a shaky manner but was flawless in the second half as he dealt with the PSG attack with ease.
Marcelo (3): Was bright for the home team down his side till he picked up an injury and was replaced by Nacho.
Casemiro (3.5): Stuck to his job really well as he was full of energy putting pressure on the PSG midfield.
Toni Kroos (2.5): Was careless in possession as he let PSG knick the ball off him. Did not look comfortable what-so-ever in the high-intensity midfield game both teams were playing on the night.
Luka Modric (3): Could have done a lot more in the final third but was stubborn and solid defensively after Madrid got the lead.
Jese Rodriguez (3): His comeback into the Champions League did not go as expected as he was not at his best coming back from injury.
Cristiano Ronaldo (3): Not the kind of performance that Madrid were looking for from their star winger. A rather subdued and dull game for the 30-year old.
Isco (3): Looked like making something happen every time he was on the ball. Could not last for the whole game after he picked up a head injury in the early stages.
Nacho(3.5): Proved the match-winner with an excellent finish in the 35th minute, but it was his performance down the other end that impressed the most. Kept PSG’s attack fairly quiet in the second period.
Lucas Vasquez (3)
Mateo Kovacic (3)
Kevin Trapp (3): Was asked questions all night long but stood tall and negotiated the threat. Was caught out however for the only goal.
Serge Aurier (3.5): One of the brightest players on the field as he was full of energy providing PSG a power packed performance down the right.
Thiago Silva (3.5): Was strong and solid at the back for the visitors as he rarely afforded the likes of Ronaldo any space to score.
David Luiz (3): Came into the game with a very late fitness test but was decent at the back for the visitors.
Maxwell (3.5): An assured performance as he kept Madrid quiet at the back and also provided a couple of exquisite crosses into the box at the other end.
Thiago Motta (3): Nothing exceptional but a disciplined performance in the middle of the park as he continuously fed his front line.
Marco Verrati (3): Was bright in the opening stages of the game but was substituted after he had a clash with Ronaldo in the first half.
Blaise Matiudi (3.5): Was his energetic self on the flank as he kept the Madrid defense on its toes. Should have scored when he had a chance one on one against Navas.
Angel di Maria (4): A complete performance as he was back to form against his former club. Could have easily ended the game with two assists and a goal.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (3): Was exceptional at the beginning of the game where he had two chances to score. But faded away slowly as the game went on.
Edinson Cavani (3): Another PSG player who was irresistible in the first half. Fluffed his lines when one on one against Navas and faded away in the second half.
Adrien Rabiot (3)
Lucas Moura (3)
