Revealed: Top 5 Recent Crazy Transfer Rumours!

English Premier League is one of the most entertaining competitions in world football and it is also one of the richest.

Clubs across the Premier League are always busy trying to lure top transfer targets to the club in the offseason and they start their preparations for the transfer window, midway through the season.

It is that time of the year when managers start to try and get players to offer their deals and this season has been no different.

Clubs from across the country and have been looking at star players to add to their squad and have been linked with some of the biggest names in Europe. Some players in the league are also linked with an exit.

There are some high profile rumours doing the rounds recently and here are 5 such transfer rumours that will not happen and make no sense whatsoever:

Wayne Rooney to CSL:

The Manchester United skipper has lately been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League before the deadline day next Tuesday. Paul Stretford is reportedly in China to finalise the deal but here is the problem – Beijing Guoan have revealed they are not interested in his signature and while Jiangsu Suning and Tianjin Quanjian are favourites to land him, neither club have proposed their terms to the club yet. United are alive on all 4 fronts and need depth to last full season. So Rooney does not seem like he is going anywhere anytime soon.

Pedro Obiang to Liverpool:

The Spanish midfielder has been one of the most consistent players for West Ham this season but with the Hammers unable to qualify for Europe, Obiang may be on his way out of the club. Reports from the Sun claim that Jurgen Klopp, who is desperate for a midfielder, will make a move for Obiang in the summer in a £18m deal. A small research on this rumour from a trusted website reveals that it was a story that just came out of the blue and that the website was regurgitating a rumour that had earlier appeared on its own site. Surely, it is not something that is happening this summer.

Mahmoud Dahoud to Borussia Dortmund:

One of the long-term targets for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Mahmoud Dahoud, reportedly has a release clause in his contract that could see him sold for just over £10m this summer.

Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Bayern and Borussia Dortmund are some of the teams who are set to fight for his signature but reports from Bild reveal that Thomas Tuchel has completed his signature. This means that Liverpool will miss out on his signature yet again, but wait, Dahoud, has not had a single approach from Dortmund yet. The German sensation is yet to agree on a move to the Signal Iduna Park, according to Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl. Speaking to the RP Online, he revealed that Dortmund are yet to approach Gladbach over a move but revealed that he is surely up for sale this summer.

Klopp to Barcelona:

After winning back to back league titles in Spain, Luis Enrique, the manager at the Camp Nou, is under pressure at the moment as his side are close to going trophyless this season. Barcelona are a point of Real Madrid having played an extra game and will have to play out of their skins to have a shot at the title.

They are all but kicked out of the Champions League by PSG and as a result, Luis Enrique’s job at the club has fallen into jeopardy. Reports from the Mirror suggest that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is the hot favourite to replace him in the summer. It could not have been any further away from the truth as Klopp is settled at Anfield, and is contracted for another 5 years at the club. Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague has revealed in a recent interview that the Spanish giants have no interest whatsoever in the German.

Lionel Messi to Manchester City:

In one of the biggest news in recent times, Barcelona star Lionel Messi is reportedly a transfer target for Manchester City. Pap Guardiola wants to sell Sergio Aguero in the summer and wants to replace him with a big money signing and has been looking at Antoine Griezmann for a move in the summer but reports from the Mirror, Pep Guardiola is readying a £100m bid for the Argentine in the summer. The story has since been picked up by every news outlet in the two countries but any concrete proof is yet to be provided. A reunion with Guardiola is not easy to turn down but Messi, who is now entering his prime as a footballer, will not be looking to leave the Camp Nou anytime soon.
