According to the reports from Daily Star, Liverpool are ready to battle with Arsenal for the signature of Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel in the summer.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper is reportedly set to become the subject of a bidding war with both Premier League clubs currently having doubts about their first-choice goalkeepers.

Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet have been shaky for the Reds, while Arsenal keeper Petr Cech has been criticised in recent weeks at the Emirates Stadium.

Leicester City star is believed to carry a £30 million transfer fee and will almost certainly leave the King Power Stadium if the Foxes are relegated at the end of the season.

Alongside Liverpool and Arsenal, another Premier League giants Manchester City are also ready to bring the Danish international at the Etihad Stadium in summer.

Meanwhile, as Bayern Munich playmaker Douglas Costa reveals, he already has offers from Premier League clubs and could consider a move away from Bundesliga club in summer, with Liverpool desperately chasing for the midfielder’s signature.

The 26-year-old Brazil international hit the ground running in his first season at Allianz Arena and has continued his form into the new season.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk star reportedly attracted an offer from three Premier League clubs Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea before he signed for Bayern Munich and the attacker revealed he has plans of a new challenge once his ambitions in Germany are fulfilled.
