We have been running this story regularly when the very reliable Gianluca Di Marzio and Mundo Deportivo reported the same and now it seems to gather pace. According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are set to beat rivals Real Madrid to the £52m signing of Luis Suarez. They also claim that the Liverpool striker’s move to Barcelona is at an “advanced stage”. Reports also suggest that Barcelona might also use Alexis Sanchez as a part of the deal. Barcelona plan to play an attacking trio of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar at Camp Nou next season. According to Mundo Deportivo, Luis Suarez has release clause of £68m in his contract, but this is reduced to £52m if he joins Barcelona or Real Madrid. Gianluca Di Marzio also suggests, Barcelona are looking at the possibility of signing Luis Suarez and if Alexis Sanchez can be used as a makeweight for Suarez.
