According to Sunday Times, Luis Suarez will shock Liverpool by insisting he wants to leave Liverpool for Barcelona or Real Madrid.

The Sunday Times claim Luis Suarez has a £67.9m release clause in his contract which he signed last year in December and the Liverpool star striker is upset with manager Brendan Rodgers after he said the team had not missed him when he was banned for the first five games of the 2013-14 Premier League season.

According to Spanish daily AS, Liverpool have already started to find a replacement for Luis Suarez and have already contacted Colombian striker Falcao‘s agent Jorge Mendes.

We have been running this story regularly when the very reliable Gianluca Di Marzio and Mundo Deportivo reported the same and now it seems to gather pace. According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are set to beat rivals Real Madrid to the £52m signing of Luis Suarez. They also claim that the Liverpool striker’s move to Barcelona is at an “advanced stage”. Reports also suggest that Barcelona might also use Alexis Sanchez as a part of the deal. Barcelona plan to play an attacking trio of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar at Camp Nou next season. According to Mundo Deportivo, Luis Suarez has release clause of £68m in his contract, but this is reduced to £52m if he joins Barcelona or Real Madrid. Gianluca Di Marzio also suggests, Barcelona are looking at the possibility of signing Luis Suarez and if Alexis Sanchez can be used as a makeweight for Suarez.

Luis Suarez has been in brilliant form for Liverpool last season, scoring 31 goals, winning the Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Player of the Year, Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year, Barclays Premier League Player of the Year, Barclays Premier League Golden boot Winner and European Golden Boot award.
