WWE’s chairman of the board Vince McMahon was present last night at WWE Payback which was hosted by All-State arena of Chicago, Illinois to declare who will be in control of WWE Raw from now on. The candidates for the same were three, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and his son-in-law Triple H. Though, the segment was concluded with no whatsoever outcome as Vince made the decision of both of them being in charge of Raw.
The question comes here, will Shane McMahon will still be seen more on WWE television in the coming weeks? Reports from dailywrestlingnews.com suggest that previous rumors were that the mentioned trio was scheduled to have their own show as Shane would control Raw, Stephanie for Smackdown and Triple H will obviously go with the NXT brand as it his brainchild. However, with Vince had left us in confusion and it’s unknown whether the original plan would still be used. Smackdown is still not been announced as a different franchise but the rumors suggest that the brands will be divided fairly.
Shane’s presence itself is enough to keep the ratings up as he has done it the entire month of April. Previously, it was heard Shane will not be seen post-Wrestlemania but that plan got nixed as of now.
Shane McMahon returned to RAW interrupting Vince presenting his daughter Stephanie with the Vince J McMahon legacy award. “The Money” was present on RAW after a long hiatus of six years and fans present at the arena and all over the world just couldn’t stop going ga-ga over the moment, making it trending worldwide. Shane decided to claim his demand on taking over RAW. This was reverted back into a stipulation by Vince McMahon further, i.e. if Shane wins against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, then only he can take over RAW.
Now that Shane is running Raw, there is no point of the match between him and the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. These two have put their body on the line and stole the show at Dallas, Texas. But, if the brand split happens it would definitely undermine the efforts put by these two veterans in the ring.
