In case a news item currently running on ABP news channel is to be believed, three players of the Indian cricket team will be undergoing a fitness test on Feb 7. Ishant Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are stated to be facing their fitness trail.
Quoting a source in the BCCI, the news item emphasized that the team management has decided to confirm the fitness of the three cricketers under reference. This appears to be justified as just about a week before their world cup match, any team management would not like to take a chance, especially keeping in view the recent poor form of their team. It is also claimed that the three players will only be allowed to participate subject to their qualifying fitness test.
It has been highlighted in the news item that the team management now wants to be absolutely sure about fitness of Ishant Sharma and that’s why he will have to appear for the test. It has specifically been mentioned that Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jadeja have failed to impress ever since their return. Also, it has been clarified that with still a few days to go for the World Cup, the teams have a provision to ask for replacements in case any player is unfit. Also it is clearly written that keeping that in mind, the team management is trying to make sure that they get a fit team before the action begins.
