Want to be a professional cricketer?
Predominantly, India’s Playing XI selection by Virat Kohli reflects that he wants a deep batting line-up in the Twenty20s. The charismatic leader wants a player who can take the game forward when the top order fails to deliver. Well, keeping the T20 World Cup 2020 trophy in mind, the team is finding the right combinations which can subsequently succeed in Australia.
The Team India management and selectors are more focusing on the players who can contribute with the bat as well as the ball. Some players are eagerly waiting which we eventually think will suit the requirement of skipper in itself.
Thus, here we are talking about the five all-rounders who could get the place in the T20 World Cup 2020 squad.
Harshal Patel is a 29-year old right-arm pacer who plays for Haryana. Unfortunately, he couldn’t earn a place for his state-side Gujarat. Currently, he is leading Haryana team in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2019-20.
The exciting prospect is famously known for bowling outswingers. Besides, Patel is also a trusted batsman who can score runs for his team. In the wider spectrum, he has been effective in the shorter formats. In 91 T20s, Patel has picked 95 wickets and scored 766 runs respectively.
Patel is yet to earn the call-up in the senior team. He might be lucky to get the chance in the T20 World Cup squad for India.
Axar Patel plays as an all-rounder for the Gujarat cricket team. He is a left-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler.
In 2014, he came to limelight after an impressive performance in the IPL. He was labelled as the Emerging Player of the Year in that particular season.
Moreover, Patel was also the part of the 2015 World Cup squad, and also a stand-by player for India’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
In 11 T20 international matches, he has scored 68 runs and picked nine wickets. He has also appeared in 131 T20 where he has scored 1511 runs and picked 114 wickets.
