South Africa’s southpaw seamer Beuran Hendricks stated it all went according to plan in the third and final T20I against India at Bangalore. The visitors were able to bounce back in the three-match T20I series as they convincingly won by nine wickets. The left-handed pacer was able to make the most of the conditions on offer and he varied his pace with guile.

Hendricks provided a perfect start to his team as he once again got the better of dangerman Rohit Sharma. Furthermore, Beuran Hendricks was able to get the wicket of Krunal Pandya. The left-handed fast bowler scalped two wickets and conceded only 14 runs in his four-overs quota. Thus, he was awarded the Man of the match in the final T20I.
Beuran Hendricks said in the post-match presentation, “It was one of those days where things worked for me, so used my opportunity well. A lot of hard work put in behind the scene, so happy with that. Normally I don’t look at the pitch while warming up. Consistency is the key”.
Meanwhile, Beuran Hendricks had not played in the second T20I at Mohali, which South Africa lost by seven wickets. The Proteas seamer was drafted into the playing XI in place of Anrich Nortje. Thus, Hendricks was able to grab his chance with both hands.
Earlier in the day, South Africa came up with a fine bowling display as they kept India to 134 runs. The South African team came with the collective team performance.
The Proteas pack leader Kagiso Rabada scalped three wickets whereas Bjorn Fortuin took two wickets to put the visitors’ in front. On the other hand, Quinton de Kock scored a captain’s innings of 79 runs to take his team over the finishing line.

India was not up to the mark whereas the tourists were able to tick the right boxes. The Proteas bowled at the right areas and the Indian team was not able to read the conditions.
India and South Africa will now take on each other in the three-match Test series. The first Test match will take place at Vishakhapatnam from October 2.
