RAW was live from Columbus, Ohio where the champion kicked things off. Hurt from last week’s F-5 Roman was focused on one man only and that was Brock Lesnar. He called out him but instead got Chris Jericho to announce the biggest Highlight Reel starring Reigns and Lesnar later the night. The League of Nations came out as a Reigns vs. Rusev match was scheduled with special guest referee Chris Jericho.
Roman Reigns vs. Rusev
While facing WWE’s resident foreign menaces, the champ got help from Y2J. A timely assist from Jericho helped to gain Reigns a rare victory over Rusev. Despite LoN’s innumerous tries to interfere the match Jericho called the match right down in the middle which helped to capitalize Reigns with a spear and superman punch.
Natalya vs. Brie Bella
Surprise! Surprise! As the Total Divas season 5 will be unveiled tonight, the furious Divas Natalya and Paige returned to RAW after a brief hiatus. Natalya and Brie went to face each other in the show where it was proved to be a great homecoming for the Neidhard queen. Despite taking the Brie mode kicks, she locked in the Sharpshooter to pick up the victory.
Ryback and The Dudleyz vs. The Wyatt family
Nothing can stand in the ways of the Wyatt family right now. Bray Wyatt and his sheep literally punished the three on the match where he was helped by the outside interference from Braun Strowman. Ryback and Dudleyz went into a rally which was broke by Wyatt and Harper which allowed Harper to hit with Bubba to hit the discuss clothesline for the win.
Big Show vs. Heath Slater
Quite an uneven match up, least to say. The only way that Heath can rely upon his rest of the Social Outcasts members but Show had other plans for each of them. Knockout punches lied down Heath, Adam Rose and Curtis Axel. Only men evaded was Bo Dallas, however, to go straight away into Show’s path again to get KO’d.
Stephanie and Mr. McMahon selected number 1 entrant in the Royal Rumble match
The father-daughter duo is not leaving one single chance to make Reigns’ championship Reign turning into hell. As if defending the championship in the Rumble match itself was not enough, Lesnar is already standing in his way and now adding to the odds is that Reigns himself is to kick off the Rumble match as the number one entrant.
Becky Lynch vs. Tamina
Becky Lynch is literally smelling the Divas title, which is up for grab in the Rumble event. The Irish Lass kicker continued her run on RAW by knocking off Tamina. The title opportunity came in a dirty way though when she did provoke the Nature Boy to accept the title match on Charlotte’s behalf.
Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose and Kalisto
It was a close encounter, with Kevin Owens sitting in the commentary table. Dean and Kalisto were this close to winning the fight after the masked Luchador hit with a Salida Del Sol but the count got cut by Del Rio’ kick. After that, Owens distracted Ambrose long enough to make Kalisto high and dry in the ring who ate a Brogue kick to lose the contest.
Big E defeated Jey Uso
After Jericho broke the trombone last week, this week they took their frustrations out on Y2J’s accomplices in the act. The already outnumbered Usos faced, even more, odds after Jimmy was taken out in an outside encounter with Kofi. Woods provided the interference to set up Big E for the big ending.
Neville, Mark Henry, Titus O’Neil and R-Truth defeated Stardust, Tyler Breeze and the Ascension
Three super villains were teamed up with one supermodel in the contest. The babyfaces picked up the win with outnumbering the villains with the unique moves from the Gator and Henry and Neville sealed the deal with a Red Arrow.
Chaos in the “Highlight Reel”
Jericho promised the biggest ugliest, Highlight Reel of them all and he delivered one. The show heated up when the beast came out to defend his advocate Paul Heyman but eventually got cut by eating a spear by a revenge seeking Reigns. League of Nations interfered the brawl but got dispatched swiftly by Lesnar. Shockingly the Wyatts downed both Reigns and Lesnar to stand tall gaining the momentum for Royal Rumble.
